Code of Conduct

WPB Tech Happy Hour exists to bring the West Palm Beach tech community together to network, build relationships and support each other. Everyone who attends, speaks, sponsors, volunteers or takes part in our online spaces agrees to this Code of Conduct.

Expected behavior

• Be welcoming and respectful to everyone, whatever their background, experience or role.
• Respect boundaries. Take “no” for an answer, whether for a conversation, a pitch, a business card or a photo.
• Drink responsibly and look out for each other.
• Follow the venue’s rules and the instructions of venue staff and our hosts and volunteers.

Unacceptable behavior

• Harassment, intimidation or discrimination of any kind, including unwelcome sexual attention or physical contact, offensive comments, stalking, and unwanted photography or recording.
• Aggressive or disruptive behavior, or attending while dangerously intoxicated.
• Hard-selling, spam or unsolicited mass solicitation of attendees, or using attendee contact information for purposes they did not agree to.
• Misrepresenting yourself, your company or an investment opportunity.

Reporting

If you experience or witness behavior that breaks this Code, tell one of our hosts or volunteers at the event, ask venue staff for help, or email us. In an emergency, call 911. We will handle reports as confidentially as we can.

Enforcement

We may take any action we consider appropriate, including warning someone, asking them to leave without a refund, and banning them from future events and community spaces.
